About the Artist

Chantal started “art” as far back as she can remember until about at age fifteen, when she took an impromptu foray, one hundred eighty degree severe turn into the hard sciences, resulting in a PhD in engineering applied to Aerospace (egads!).  After nearly 30 years of suppressed creative zealousness, she is erupting with boldness, brightness, and most of all, playfulness.

Be it paint, collage, found pebbles at the beach, a lovely lump of tactile Black Mountain clay, Chantal searches for beauty and peaceful harmony with a youthful exuberance.  She walks the tightrope between fine art and crafts – wanting to delight your senses with practical aesthetics and quality with her Chantalesque lifestyle… baking homemade bread with home cooked jellicious jams from the garden harvests, relished on her own handcrafted ceramic plates and hand blown glasses with a crocheted tablecloth overlooking her deep recycle garden and studio, built to imagine, dream, create... Woven into this are stimulating mindfield discussions so as to catalyze and open the doors to the frontiers of consciousness, with intent to nucleate community right in our own backyards as we explore our infinite abilities.

The art medium is as varied for her as the way she searches for bridging art and science through anomalous studies. She might dance you through a whirling paragraph in written form, or literally explore dance itself through its many cultural expressions. Chantal’s being,  spirit, is dedicated to discover how to best 'serve the world, the greater collective unconsciousness'.  Again, Life is Art, in the Now, there is no dress rehearsal!

Artist’s Statement

Nature is my canvas. I plant my colour palettes,

relishing the delectable fruits in my landscapes,
inebriating myself in the aroma of its herbs and flowers,
sustaining myself with its deep ecology,

and its precious gift of high octane fuel for both body and spirit.

This energetic source is funneled into creative bridge-building
between art and science to amalgamate and substantiate

the mysteries of Life.

As I cultivate the garden, so I cultivate imagination:

as I selectively pull weeds in the garden,
so the weeds from my mind to maintain the focus of what is to be created.
I establish better living through the nurture of Nature!

Nature guides me, to create a wholesome art,
sometimes for sheer pleasure, and sometimes for practical  functionality.
My goal is to establish the deep state of coherent resonance emanating  from,
as Einstein would say,  “the principal organizing force in the universe”.

Life is Art, in the Now, there is no dress rehearsal
